The Platinum Tour is Now an
AJGA Performance Based Entry Tour!
The American Junior Golf Association is
providing the Platinum Tour "Player of the Year" in Boys 16-18, and
Girls 13-18 with one Tournament Exemption for an AJGA Open Tournament and the
Boys 13-15 an exemption in the All-Star Series in 2010.
Players must meet all the conditions set forth by the AJGA and the Platinum
Tour. The following change for determining the "Player of the Year" is effective
immediately since we received word of this opportunity after the start of our
season.
Players must play a minimum of five (5)
Platinum Tour tournaments in one of the above age groups to be eligible for the
"Player of the Year" award. Any player that is required to change divisions due
to a birthday between March 21, 2009 and September 6, 2009, must play in the next
age division to be eligible for "Player of the Year" and the AJGA
Tournament Exemption. Players moving up during the year will carry over any points. Players not moving to the next age
division until their actual birthday will be eligible to win the "Player of the
Year" for the lower age division providing they earned their points in five (5)
tournaments in the age division.
